Hedge Funds and Asset Managers Reduce S&P, NASDAQ Exposure

Investor sentiment sunk deeper into bearish territory over the past week. Asset managers and hedge funds reduced positions in S&P500 and NASDAQ as they rotated to other asset classes – notably Energy ETFs for hedge funds, and Financial ETFs for asset managers.
On the details:
Flows: US equity ETFs saw continued outflows ($3.95bn) for tenth consecutive day (Chart 1). UST, IG, Muni, and MBS ETFs experienced weekly inflows (Chart 2).
