At Macro Hive, we have hosted multiple events now on various macro and market topics, and we have found webinars to be an effective medium to channel key ideas and thoughts from leading thinkers to a wide audience.
On the 27th of May, we decided to tweak the format of our usual presentation-style webinar – we brought two leading macro thinkers together with opposing views to openly debate. Senior Macro Hive researcher Dominique Dwor-Frecaut and leading economist Phil Suttle went head-to-head on whether we should be expecting higher inflation in the next year or so.
We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback. To highlight just two examples: ‘I thought that was excellent yesterday – a much more interesting format than a standard presentation’, and ‘people get latched on to supporting research for their own views, so it was refreshing to hear both sides of the debate in one webinar’.
